Mimesis: Charades Party Game

Mimesis is a charades game for game night with friends or family. One phone, two teams or more, and zero words: act out the card, your team shouts the answer, and the clock keeps ticking. HOW IT WORKS Split into teams. On your turn, hold the phone so nobody else can see it, read the card, and act it out without speaking. Your team has until the timer runs out to guess as many cards as possible. First team to reach the target score wins. 4 THEMES, 500+ CARDS • Expressions: real idioms like "Spill the beans" or "It's raining cats and dogs", acted out literally • Improbable: wacky scenes like "A mouse mafia" or "A shark afraid of water" • Art & pop culture: movies, songs, books and paintings everyone knows • Rebus: words split into sounds you can act out, like "carpet (car / pet)" Each theme has a harder Plus version for seasoned players. MADE FOR PARTIES • 4 players or more: at least 2 teams of 2 • Add teams and players in seconds, or use the random name ideas • Pick the round length, from 30 to 90 seconds • Choose how many points it takes to win • A pass-the-phone screen tells everyone whose turn it is, so nobody peeks • Stuck on a card? Skip it, no penalty • Haptics and animations every time your team gets it right NO STRINGS ATTACHED • Free • No ads • No account, no sign-up • Works offline after the first launch • Open source Perfect for birthday parties, holidays, family gatherings, road trip breaks or a rainy night in. Easy enough for kids to join in, silly enough to make adults cry laughing. The rules fit in one sentence: no talking, no singing, no writing, and no pointing at things. The rest is up to your acting skills. Grab a phone, gather your friends, and let the show begin!
