About Mendel's Quest
Mendel's Quest is the only running-jumping-punching game that has distinct Jewish motifs. Set in 19th century Russia, you play as Mendel: an Orthodox Jew with a time machine and a mission to restore as many 'holy books' as possible. Help little Mendel complete his mission. Help him. Mendel's Quest was created by four handsome jews, of whom tried their best to make this game as fun as possible. They would love to hear about any bugs or other bad experiences -- send them an email at [email protected], preferably before rating the game, and they'll try to make it right :) Gevalt!

What’s new
Version 13.4 · Updated August 21, 2026
NEW: Hand of Gd — collect this power-up and a giant hand reaches down, grabs you, and carries you forward past obstacles toward your goal. Also in this update: • Jump, double-jump, kick, and ground-pound now behave consistently and respond immediately to input • Sliding under obstacles no longer occasionally blocks your next jump • Fixed several cases where standing safely on top of obstacles or blocks incorrectly caused damage • Fixed obstacles being unintentionally destroyed by a ground-pound • Fixed a rare issue where the screen could freeze on a solid color • General responsiveness and performance improvements across the game • You can now choose Sign in with Apple from the login screen instead of it happening automatically Thanks for playing — more improvements on the way!
