Every poll shows its pollster, sample size, population (likely voters, registered voters, adults) and field dates, because a poll without those is just a number. AN AVERAGE THAT SHOWS ITS WORK Each race gets a 30-day polling average with a plain method: same-pollster duplicates collapsed to their strongest sample, linear recency weighting, and a minimum number of appearances before a candidate is included. The leader's margin sits on every race as a chip. Races with enough polling over enough time also get a trend line drawn to scale, so a quiet fortnight is as wide as a busy one.
