Navigation built for riders is here. ■ Plan a route, then ride it • Search for destinations just like in Google Maps • Routes that take you along recommended roads — twisties and scenic routes • Choose to use or avoid toll roads and expressways for each stop • Choose how much fun road you want, from "Shortest" to "Lots" — or go all in with "Go Wide" mode, and use Go Wide Boost to reach passes even further away • Don't like one of the fun roads? Drop it and the route is rebuilt • Pick a break interval (60, 90 or 120 min) and we add a well-placed roadside station as a stop • Set when you want to arrive and how long you'll stay; we work out when to leave, show the weather on arrival, and you can add it to your calendar • Routes avoid roads you can't ride with your bike (50cc, 125cc or large) • Save routes and open them again later ■ Voice guidance while you ride • Spoken turn-by-turn directions, including expressway junction and exit names and a lane hint • Hear when you enter and leave a recommended road • See the distance to the next service area, find roadside stations ahead (Plus) and add a stop on the spot • No ETC unit? Routes skip ETC-only smart interchanges • Next-turn info on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island • Off route? We automatically find a new way • Mopeds get a heads-up at junctions that need a two-stage right turn • Keep recording your ride and posting spots while you navigate ■ Recommended roads • Roads you've ridden are marked "Ridden" based on your recorded rides — and you can change it yourself • Road details now show tags like Scenic or Flowing, and how much of the road you've ridden • Tell us how a road was after your ride • A "Popular ranking" of the roads riders choose, plus picks "For you" based on your taste • See similar recommended roads, and add just part of a road to your plan • See at a glance whether your bike can ride a road and whether it's a toll road ■ The places you find become someone else's next ride • Spots you post can now be picked as route destinations and plan stops by other riders — and you can see how many chose them • Add highlights like Scenic view, Hot spring, Food or Easy bike parking, and riders searching for them will find your spot • Riders with similar taste see your spot under "For you" and "Similar spots" • Post or save a spot on the spot from navigation with the Spot button • Spots you saved but haven't posted yet get a reminder the next day (you can turn this off) • A redesigned spot editor — edit highlights and the nearby road anytime • Fixed posted spots staying in your saved list ■ Also new • Sign in with Apple or Google • Add places to a plan straight from Google Maps' share menu • Fixed new plans and additions from a spot's page not showing up Navigation and road names in ride recordings currently work in Japan only. We plan to add more countries based on your requests. Navigation is a guide only. Always follow actual road signs and traffic rules.
