About TLDR Money - Expense Tracker
TLDR Money is an expense tracker for India. Add what you spend, see where it went, and get a clear picture of your month without keeping a spreadsheet.
It is free, and there are no ads in it.
What it does
Add an expense in a few taps. Amount, category, done.
See your spending grouped the way you actually think about it — food and dining, groceries, bills and utilities, transport.
Read your month at a glance: what you spent, where it went, and what share each category took.
Rupees throughout, in lakhs and crores where that reads better than a long line of digits.
What it does not do
This matters as much as the feature list.
It does not ask for your bank login. No account aggregator, no net-banking password, no access to your accounts.
It does not ask for SMS permission. It cannot read your messages, because it never requests the permission that would let it.
It does not connect to your email.
You type what you spend. That is the whole data path — which is why this app can be brief about privacy instead of writing a long policy to explain it.
Why it is free
TLDR Money is free while it is early, and it carries no advertising.
When paid plans arrive, they will be a subscription. Not advertising, not referral fees, not commissions on products sold back to you. A free finance app still has to make money somewhere, and that somewhere is usually something being sold to the person using it. We would rather charge for the app and leave you alone.
Your data
Never sold, never shared. No third-party data brokers, no ad networks, no anonymised-and-resold loophole.
Built for India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. You keep the right to access, correct, export and erase your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
Built for India
Rupees, lakhs and crores, and categories that match how money is actually spent here — not a foreign app with a currency setting bolted on.
This first version is deliberately small. If something you need is missing, tell us and it will be read: [email protected]
