Bits & Bobs - For Quick Notes

Bits & Bobs is a simple notes app that works like a paper notebook. No ads, no tracking, and no account needed.

Some thoughts aren't ready to be anything yet. A half-formed idea. A name you'll need tomorrow. A line you overheard. The thing to pick up on the way home. A daily journal: it's whatever you need it to be. It works like the notepad in your back pocket. Open it, write it down, close it, get on with your day.

Just write
No "new note" button, no titles, no folders, no deciding where something belongs before you've even written it. There's always a fresh line waiting, and every note lands on one continuous timeline in the order you wrote it.

Organise notes with #hashtags
Drop a #tag anywhere in a note (#recipes, #gift-ideas, #someday) and it becomes a marker you can flip straight back to. Tags light up as you type and suggest ones you've used before. Tap a tag to see every note that has it, then step through them one by one.

Search and timeline
Search every note you've ever written. Or open the calendar, jump to any day, and see what you jotted down then.

Light on formatting, on purpose
Quick lists and links work the way you'd expect. Long notes fold away so the page stays easy to skim.

Works offline, no account needed
Notes save on your phone the moment you write them, with or without a signal. Use it as a guest for as long as you like. Notes you write without signing in never leave your phone.

Sync notes between your phone and the web
Sign in with Google or an email link and your notes stay in sync with Bits & Bobs on the web (bnb.mostlyuseful.in). Scribble it on your laptop, find it on your phone.

Private notes, no ads
No ads, no tracking, no analytics. Delete your account and every note from inside the app, anytime.

Whatever you need it to be
A paper notebook doesn't decide what it's for, and neither does this one. Keep a daily journal and flip back to any day from the calendar. Collect ideas under #ideas, recipes under #recipes, books to read under #books, and the shopping list under #groceries. Use it for one thing, or for everything at once. Tags keep each use easy to find, with no separate notebooks or folders to set up.

Flexible, not complicated
It won't turn into a project manager, a wiki or a second brain. It's a notebook for your bits and bobs, and that's the point.
