About ScreenCast: Mirror to Computer

Bring your Android screen to the bigger display you already have. ScreenCast mirrors your phone or tablet to a computer browser over your local Wi-Fi, making it easy to present a project, teach a lesson, demonstrate an app, or share something on your screen. No desktop receiver installation and no ScreenCast account are required.

GET STARTED
1. Connect your Android device and computer to the same trusted private Wi-Fi network.
2. Open ScreenCast and start the receiver. You can set an optional PIN or password before sharing.
3. On your computer, open the local address shown in ScreenCast using Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
4. Connect the browser. When Android asks for screen-capture permission, review the prompt and allow it to begin mirroring. Android asks again for each new capture session.
5. Stop sharing from ScreenCast, the browser, or the Android casting notification.

MADE FOR CLEAR, FLEXIBLE SCREEN SHARING
Choose a resolution up to 1080p, a frame rate up to 60 FPS, a video codec, and a bitrate that suit your device and network. Actual quality depends on your Android hardware, Wi-Fi conditions, and browser support.

The computer dashboard includes controls to zoom in or out, rotate the view, and expand the cast area to fullscreen. Capture a PNG screenshot or record video in the browser when its recording features are supported. Exports are handled by the browser, so you choose whether to save or share them.

ScreenCast sends screen video directly to the connected browser on your local network; it does not use a cloud video server. Screen media is encrypted with WebRTC. The receiver page and connection setup use local HTTP without TLS, so use a trusted private Wi-Fi network and do not expose the receiver to the public internet. The optional PIN or password adds access protection.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW
• ScreenCast mirrors video only; it does not transmit system audio or microphone audio.
• Android's screen-capture prompt gives you control over each session. You can stop at any time.
• Protected content may appear black or may not be available for capture.
• One browser receiver can connect at a time. Video quality and recording availability vary by device, network, and browser.

ScreenCast keeps the workflow straightforward: start the receiver, open its local address on your computer, allow Android capture, and share your screen. No cables or extra desktop software are needed—just your Android device, a compatible browser, and a trusted Wi-Fi network.
