SimpleChange: Currency Scanner

SimpleChange is a camera currency converter for travel and shopping abroad. Scan a price with your phone’s camera and see the amount in your chosen currency — no typing needed.

Choose the currencies you want to convert between, then point your camera at a printed or handwritten price. The recognized amount and the converted value appear together on one screen. You can also enter an amount using the keyboard or your phone’s speech recognition service.

Exchange rates and offline use
SimpleChange uses the most recently downloaded exchange rates and displays their date. Once exchange rates have been saved, you can use them to convert amounts without an internet connection. An internet connection is required to update the rates.

Camera-based number recognition takes place on your phone. The availability of dictation and whether it requires an internet connection depend on your device’s speech recognition service.
