About Trusted Traveler
The official U.S. Department of Homeland Security Trusted Traveler Mobile Application, facilitates travelers to apply for Trusted Traveler Programs. Eligible members can also submit travel documents while using expedited lanes at border crossing to enter the United States.
Trusted Traveler consists of four components:
1. Report Arrival: Allows eligible Trusted Travel Members to submit their travel document and photo through a free, secure app on their smartphone or other mobile device. It streamlines the traveler’s entry process into the United States by reducing passport control inspection time and overall wait time. It does require a valid Trusted Traveler Membership. Travelers who successfully use the application will no longer have to use a portal or kiosk. As a result, travelers may experience shorter wait times, less congestion and efficient processing.
2. Update Profile, Class of Admission: Allows members to securely store their CBP PASSID and set a default Class of Admission (e.g., Permanent Resident, U.S. citizen). This saves your preferences so you do not have to re-enter them every time you use your phone to report your arrival to U.S. Customs and Border Protection
3. Apply/Re-Apply Membership: Enables eligble travelerss to apply for Trusted Travel Programs: (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST) or renew membership.
4. Manage Membership: Check status of the membership ( Pending, Conditionally Approved or Approved) and Update membership documents ( passports, license plates, addresses)
