Katamarrant is a focused, offline-first study companion for the 40 Gokyo no Waza, the classical curriculum of judo throws taught in dojos worldwide. Whether you are preparing for a grading, refreshing your memory, or just curious about the names behind the techniques, Katamarrant turns review into a quick daily habit.

KEY FEATURES

• Image-first quizzes: see the technique, identify it from three romaji choices. The reveal panel shows the romaji name, the kanji, and the literal French translation side by side.
• Spaced repetition: techniques you miss surface more often, fresh ones rotate in, and a built-in cooldown stops the same throw from repeating back-to-back.
• Rapid-fire mode: 10-question bursts for warm-ups before practice or quick travel review.
• Browse mode: flip through the full Gokyo, grouped by Kyo (1st through 5th), with kanji and translations always visible.
• Customizable scheduling: daily, twice-daily, smart "if you haven't reached your goal yet", or every-N-minutes with quiet hours.
• Local notifications gently remind you to practice on your own schedule. No push server, no tracking.
• Bilingual interface: full English and French, with auto-detection on first launch.
• Optional cross-device sync: sign in with a magic link by email (no password) to keep your stats consistent across phones, tablets, and desktop.

PRIVACY-FIRST BY DESIGN

Katamarrant works fully offline. Your quiz history stays on your device by default. There are no ads, no analytics, no third-party trackers, no advertising IDs. The optional sync feature, when enabled, only sends your email and your quiz statistics to our server over HTTPS, nothing else.
