Door & Window Inspector

Door & Window Inspector helps you keep an eye on the doors and windows of your home. Set up your flat or house, add each door and window room by room, and walk through a guided checklist once or twice a year. You will know what is in good order, what needs watching and what should be repaired before the next winter.

Everything stays on your phone. There is no account, no advertising and the app does not use the internet.

YOUR HOME, ROOM BY ROOM
• A profile for a flat or a house, with as many rooms as you need. A second home or a summer cottage can be added too.
• For every door and window: material, opening type, glazing, size in millimetres, year fitted, notes and photos from your gallery.
• A small elevation drawing shows the type at a glance.

STEP-BY-STEP INSPECTIONS
• Checklists for hinges, locks and handles, seals, the frame, the opening mechanism, glass, coating and moisture.
• The checklist adapts to each door or window: a fixed window has no hinge checks, an exterior door gets the draught and security checks.
• Every check says what to look for and how to test it. Answer OK, Issue or N/A.
• Choose how serious an issue is: minor, moderate or serious.

ISSUES YOU CAN FOLLOW
• Draughts, closing problems, coating damage and signs of moisture in one tracker, with hardware and glass faults alongside.
• Add observations over time, for example after a frost or heavy rain, and mark an issue as monitored or resolved.
• Photos and notes for every issue.

HISTORY AND STATISTICS
• Every inspection is saved with its date, comment and photos.
• The home screen shows what needs attention, a condition score and how many inspections you have done.

CALENDAR OF CHECKS
• Each door and window has its own inspection interval, and the app shows what is due and what is overdue.
• Ready-made seasonal checks for a cold climate: seals before the heating season, condensation in mid-winter, drainage after the thaw.
• Add your own tasks, once or repeating.
• The app sends no notifications. Reminders are shown inside the app: on the home screen, in the calendar and as counters on the tab bar.

REPAIR WORK AND COSTS
• List the jobs that need doing, who will do them and what they are likely to cost, as one figure or a range in euros.
• See the total estimate, the share that needs a professional and what you have already spent.

CARE ADVICE
• A library of basic care: seals, hinges, locks, condensation, timber, PVC and aluminium frames, glass, sliding doors.
• Each article explains what you can safely do yourself and when to call a professional.

PDF REPORT
• Create a clear PDF for the whole home or for one door or window, with photos, unresolved issues and repair work.
• Share it with a tradesperson, a building manager or your housing association through the Android share menu.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Available in English and Estonian.
• Works offline. Free, with no purchases.
• The app is a checklist and record-keeping aid. It does not replace an inspection by a qualified professional.
