Budget Companion

Photograph a paper receipt and save it straight to Budget on your own Nextcloud, with the photo attached to the transaction.

Budget Companion works with the Budget app for Nextcloud. It gets a transaction into Budget from your phone — usually by photographing the receipt, with a quick manual form for the ones that have no receipt at all — and it gives you a read-only check on where you stand: account balances, budget left this month, and bills due. Setup, import, reports, rules, reconciliation and all editing — budgets and bills included — stay in Budget's web interface.

Receipt reading happens on your own Nextcloud server, using whatever backend your Budget installation is configured with. This app never sends your receipts anywhere else, holds no API keys, and collects no data about you.

You'll need a Nextcloud server with the Budget app installed.
