SnagPad: Snagging Report

SnagPad is a snagging list that ends in a report you can send.

Walk the building. Note what is wrong, add a photo, mark the photo if it helps. When you are done, the report is one tap away: a clean PDF, or a spreadsheet if the client wants numbers.

WHY THIS ONE

The snagging apps on this store are not short of features. They are short of finish. Read their reviews and the same complaint keeps coming back, in different words: the export put one photo in for every defect, the spreadsheet would not open, the report came out wrong on the day it had to go to the client.

SnagPad was built the other way round. The report is the product. Everything else exists to fill it.

NO ACCOUNT, YOUR WORK STAYS ON THE PHONE

There is no sign-up, no login, no email. You open it and you are working.

Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to. Your projects, your photos and your notes stay on this phone. That also means nobody can lock you out of your own snagging list on a site with no signal.

- Locations it suggests from what you already typed

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

It does not do teams. It does not do floor plans. It does not do dashboards for a head office.

It is for one person walking one building with a phone in their hand. If you need to assign defects to subcontractors and follow them across a portfolio, this is the wrong app, and it is cheaper to find that out now than after you have paid.

THE PRICE IS ON THE SCREEN

You can see what it costs before anything is asked of you. The trial is free and does not need a card. After it ends, your work does not disappear and it does not become read-only rubble: you can still open every project and still export every report, for as long as you have the app.

That last part is deliberate. Your snagging list is your work, not ours.

LARGE TEXT WORKS

Set your phone to 150 percent text, or 200, and the screens still hold together. Nothing gets cut off, nothing lands on top of anything else. Bright sun and reading glasses are part of this job.
