About Dipsy – Stocks & Dividends

Dipsy is a watchlist for anything with a price: stocks, ETFs, indices, forex, crypto. Plus a widget on your home screen, so a glance at the numbers doesn't require opening an app first.

No account. No sign-up. No ads. No analytics. No newsletter to unsubscribe from later. Your watchlist stays on your device and is sent nowhere.

THE LIST

• Prices for stocks, ETFs, indices, forex and crypto — with the day's change and whether the exchange is even open right now
• Several watchlists side by side
• Trading hours for 21 exchanges, lunch breaks in Tokyo included, and Tel Aviv's Sunday-to-Thursday week
• Price limits: say when it gets interesting — the card and the widget row then change colour
• Your own position: enter a purchase price and a number of shares, and Dipsy works out cost, value and gain
• Search by name, ticker, ISIN or WKN, across trading venues
• Drag and drop to reorder, a compact view for long lists, import and export as a CSV file

YOUR DEPOT

• Total value in your currency, converted at today's rate — with the rate shown next to it
• Purchase date and currency: what you put in, at the rate of the day you bought, plus gain and return per year (internal rate of return)
• Performance since your first purchase, with the money put in as a second line
• Against the S&P 500, MSCI World or any other holding: the same money on the same days, not just two percentages
• The day's winners and losers, weight by holding and by kind, and every position below that
• Splits after the purchase are detected and accounted for — only when the prices confirm them
• Public mode: one tap on the skull, and everything that gives away the size of your positions is gone

WHAT YOUR PORTFOLIO PAYS

• Dividends per year, month and day — on the shares you hold today, at today's rate, after tax if you want
• The payments ahead with ex-day and pay day, as soon as they are announced
• The coming twelve months as bars, their total, and five years ahead with your payers' growth
• Every payer with share, yield, yield on cost, payout ratio, streak and safety — and what has come in since your purchases, year by year
• A monthly goal, if you have one

WHAT A COMPANY EARNS

• Revenue and earnings across up to 20 fiscal years as bars side by side, with gross, EBITDA and net margin over time
• Average growth over 5, 10 and 15 years — if earnings grow faster than revenue, the margin rises
• Earnings stability: how many years were profitable, how often earnings fell and how far below their peak they sit
• Free cash flow, debt and share count across two decades

WHAT IT MIGHT BE WORTH

• Fair value from several methods side by side — dividend discount, historical P/E, the Graham formula — and pointedly not merged into one number. When they agree, the statement carries. When they scatter, Dipsy says exactly that
• Every method states its assumptions; when one doesn't run, it says why
• P/E and price/cash-flow as a curve over ten years, with the median as a line

DIVIDENDS PER HOLDING, A LITTLE MORE CAREFULLY

• Full payout history and growth over 5, 10, 15 and 20 years
• Tiers by the usual definition — Champion from 25 straight years of higher dividends, Contender from 10, Challenger from 5. Only real increases count
• Payout safety from payout ratio and history; for REITs on a cash flow basis
• A ten-year projection. And when a company has stopped paying, Dipsy says so instead of drawing a curve into the past

MACRO DATA

Shiller P/E, S&P 500 P/E, the 10-year US Treasury yield, inflation, GDP growth and more — with history back into the 19th century.

PLEASE NOTE

Dipsy is not investment advice and not a trading platform. It shows numbers from public sources that may be delayed or wrong. What you do with them is your decision — and your risk.
