District Draw: Geometry Puzzle

Candidate Grabb has a problem: the voters keep disagreeing with him. Fortunately, district boundaries are far more cooperative than people.

District Draw is a short puzzle game about the oldest trick in representative democracy. Split a hex map of stubborn voters into equal, connected districts. Each district elects whoever has the most voters in it. Win a majority of the seats — while your party never wins a majority of the votes.

Ten acts take Grabb from Manager of Cobble Lane to President of the World, and every single promotion is won with a minority of the popular vote. Forty-four percent of the vote becomes sixty-seven percent of the seats. Then seventy-five. Then eighty-eight. The votes never change. Only the map does.
