How does the rating work?
Our app accesses the massive, community-maintained OpenFoodFacts database. This information is combined with our own, carefully compiled list of hundreds of non-vegan or potentially non-vegan ingredients, E numbers, and their synonyms. This gives you a well-founded assessment with detailed explanations of why an ingredient is considered problematic.
