Bacnscope: BACnet Scanner

Bacnscope is a professional BACnet scanner and commissioning companion for BMS and HVAC technicians.

Connect an Android phone or tablet to an authorised site Wi-Fi or Ethernet network to discover BACnet/IP controllers. Open any controller to inspect real BACnet objects, point names, present values, engineering units, status flags, reliability and command properties.

Use Bacnscope during commissioning, maintenance and fault finding to:

• Scan local BACnet/IP networks and routed networks through a BBMD
• Identify controllers by device instance, vendor, model and IP address
• Review AI, AO, BI, BO, AV, BV, MSV and other BACnet objects
• Organise physical I/O points by controller and connected module
• Monitor values with a configurable refresh interval
• Find alarms, faults, overrides, out-of-service points and communication failures
• Check controller program state and start a halted program when supported
• Write authorised BACnet values with priority selection and verified read-back
• Export controller inventories and health reports as PDF
• Search points and retain partial scan results on larger networks
• Use offline demo mode for training and presentations

Bacnscope is built for authorised work on building automation systems. It does not require a cloud account for local BACnet scanning, and controller data remains on the device unless you choose to export or share a report.

Supported today: BACnet/IP over IPv4, local broadcast and BBMD foreign-device discovery. Compatibility depends on controller permissions, network routing and vendor implementation.
