Peep My Phone

Press a button on your Pebble watch. Your phone rings, loudly, until you find it. [Companion App for the Pebble watch app]

Peep My Phone is a find-my-phone app for Pebble owners. No account, no sign-in, and no servers of its own — just Bluetooth, and the official Pebble app you already have.

THREE WAYS TO FIND IT

• Peep — a loud alarm out of the phone's own speaker
• Buzz — vibration only, for when you don't want to wake the room
• Beep — one short tone, for when you are almost on top of it

Each runs from the watch, and the watch shows what the phone is actually doing rather than assuming the button press worked.

IT GETS THROUGH

Peep is built to be heard in the situations where phones normally stay quiet:

• Silent mode
• Vibrate mode
• The alarm slider turned all the way down — Peep raises it, then puts it back
• Do Not Disturb [except DNDs which block alarms]
• Bluetooth earbuds connected and playing — the sound comes out of the phone's own speaker, and your music keeps playing

Every setting Peep changes is restored when the alarm stops — including after a force-stop or a crash.

STOP IT FROM ANYWHERE

Press the watch button again, tap Stop in the notification, open the app, or let the timeout end it. The timeout is yours: 1, 2, 5, 10 or 30 minutes.

WHEN SOMETHING IS IN THE WAY

If a Do Not Disturb mode is set to block alarms, or battery saver has suspended the app, Peep says so on your watch instead of failing silently.

WHAT YOU NEED

• A Pebble smartwatch
• The official Pebble app, paired and connected
• The Peep watchapp, free from the Pebble appstore

HONEST LIMITS

• If your phone is switched off, nothing can ring it.
• If your watch is out of Bluetooth range, nothing can reach it.
• A Do Not Disturb mode configured to block alarms will silence Peep, exactly as it silences any other alarm. Peep warns your watch when it sees this.

OPTIONAL PURCHASE

Everything above is free. If you would rather Peep rang with your own alarm sound than its built-in tone, that is a one-time in-app purchase. Nothing that finds your phone is behind it.
