LocalScribe

LocalScribe: Private Audio & Photo Notes, Powered by Local AI

This is an app I developed for my own use, to record entire audio sessions and capture key moments with photos during conferences. It also includes an offline speech recognition feature, powered by local AI, for quick navigation through recordings. The app is completely free, contains no ads, and I hope you find it useful.

Key Features:

- Record with Confidence: Get high-quality audio recordings of all your important sessions.
- Instant Drafts with Speech Recognition (powered by local AI): Get a real-time transcript as you record. Because it runs entirely on your device, its accuracy is suitable for quick navigation and getting the gist of the discussion, not for a perfect transcript.
- Your Data is Yours: LocalScribe is a fully offline application. It doesn't connect to the internet, so your recordings and photos are stored securely on your device.
- Capture Visuals: Add photos to your recordings to capture slides, whiteboards, or other visual aids.
- Easy Navigation: The rough speech recognition transcript allows you to quickly find and jump to specific parts of your recording.
- Export for Power Users: Export your raw, high-quality audio and photos. This allows you to use more advanced, cloud-based AI services for highly accurate transcription later.

LocalScribe is the perfect tool for students, professionals, and anyone who wants to create rich, multimedia records of their conferences and lectures while maintaining complete control over their data.
