About EJ's Calculator

I wrote a simple and straight forward calculator app that also includes some wood working calculations that allow you to check for square (when building a deck for example), it also converts measurements to decimal values and decimal values back to feet + inches + fraction of an inch. (rounded to the nearest 16th of an inch)

Many people know the trick to check for square by measuring 3 feet on one side and 4 feet on the other and if the diagonal distance is 5 then whatever you are measuring is square.

This is an example of the pythagorean theorem which works well with nice round numbers like 3,4,5 or variations like 6,8,10.

This app allows you to measure the full distances of whatever you are checking and it will calculate what the diagonal value should be.
