About Finding Bob
1) Learning objectives: To improve children’s understanding of “front and back”, “up and down”, and “inside and outside” and to cultivate their spatial perception and judgment abilities.
2) Theoretical guidance: Children aged 3-6 is in the sensitive period of space. From the understanding of “front and back” and “inside and outside” at the age of 3 and 4 to the understanding of “far and near” and “left and right” at the age of 5 and 6, children’s sense of direction is gradually developing.
3) Creative learning: In the game “Finding Bob”, children are required to tell the position of Bob based on the position of the box so as to enable them to understand the spatial relationship between “font and back”, “up and down”, “inside and outside”, “far and near”, and “left and right” and to promote the development of children’svisual sensibility and accuracy. It is good for the formation of good sense of space in painting and stimulates children to make correct judgment and decision through thinking.
4) Suggestions for parents: Space is a complex concept. When cultivating children’s space perception and judgment, parents should remind children to pay attention to the reference object when describing directions. When helping children to learn directions, try to make the learning interesting. Ask children about the position of animals that children are interested in. for example, “is the cat in front of or inside or on the cabinet?” As a result, the learning will not be boring.
