NKT Pro is a useful psychrometric tool developed by NKT - Humidity Control Technologies, Turkey's first and only engineering company focused on humidity control. The application, which was first developed by NKT Academy in 2022, is offered free of charge to professionals, students, academic staff, project companies, and mechanical practitioners serving the mechanical installation sector.
NKT Pro is a tool that allows you to quickly and easily calculate the thermodynamic properties of moist air (such as air temperature, humidity). In this way, it allows you to more accurately calculate the total load, sensible load, latent load or moisture load of any air conditioning process (such as ventilation, heating, cooling, humidification, dehumidification) without dealing with psychrometric charts.
What Can You Do with NKT Pro?
• You can access all the information you need about weather conditions by simply entering 2 thermodynamic data about the weather (for example, temperature and relative humidity).
• You can calculate cooling and heating load.
• You can make mixture calculations of two different air with different properties.
• With NKT Academy, you can access technical articles and obtain technical information on humidity control.
• You can directly communicate with Humidity Control Technologies service and sales departments.
• You can examine the dehumidification units you need for your applications that require humidity control.
• Businesses that have received maintenance services can access past service data with their defined user and password.
Psychrometric Values You Can Calculate in NKT Pro:
• Dry bulb temperature (°C): It is the temperature measured with any thermometer without being affected by water vapor or radiation in the air.
• Wet bulb temperature (°C): It is the lowest temperature obtained by adiabatic evaporation of water in the air (without adding heat or equalizing heat) until the air is saturated (absolute humidity rises).
• Relative humidity (%): It is the ratio of the amount of water vapor in the air to the maximum amount of water vapor that the air can hold.
• Enthalpy (kJ/kg): It is the heat and pressure energy of one kilogram of air.
• Dew point temperature (°C): The temperature at which water vapor in the air becomes saturated and begins to condense.
• Humidity rate (g/kg): The amount of water vapor in one kilogram of dry air (in grams).
• Specific volume (m³/kg): The volume occupied by one kilogram of air (in cubic metres).
• Vapor pressure (kPa): The pressure exerted by water vapor in the air.
• Air density (kg/m³): The mass of one cubic meter of air (in kilograms).
• Absolute humidity (g/m³): The amount of water vapor in one cubic meter of air (in grams).
• Pressure (kPa): Force applied to one square meter (in kilopascals).
NKT Pro is the first registered software of NKT Humidity Control Technologies, whose brand is registered by the Turkish Patent Institute, and it is completely free. It can be used without requiring an internet connection.
