Your ballot, clearly explained in minutes.

VoteMate is a nonpartisan, AI-powered ballot assistant that helps you understand every candidate, race, and measure on your actual ballot so you can vote with confidence, not confusion.

Ballots are long. Candidates are many. Most voters skip questions they don't understand. VoteMate changes that.

WHAT VOTEMATE DOES
- Your personalized ballot: Enter your address and see the exact candidates and measures you'll face at the polls. Your races. Your ballot.
- Simple explanations: We translate dense ballot language into clear, readable summaries drawn only from the sources listed under "Where our information comes from" below.
- AI-powered Q&A: Ask any question about a candidate or ballot measure and get a factual, nonpartisan answer. Every answer shows the specific source it used, so you always know where the information came from.
- Free. Always. VoteMate is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The app is completely free. We don't sell ads. We don't sell your data.

BUILT FOR TRUST
VoteMate is nonpartisan by architecture, not just intention. Every AI response cites its sources. Our responsible-AI practices include red-team testing, content-safety filters, human review, and annual independent impact assessments. You can use VoteMate without an account. We collect only what's needed to show your ballot: your address. We don't track, profile, or monetize your civic activity.

WHERE OUR INFORMATION COMES FROM
VoteMate is not a government entity and does not represent one. Our nonpartisan ballot and candidate information comes from the following sources:
- Democracy Works — your ballot, polling place, and election dates: https://www.democracy.works
- Ballotpedia — candidate and ballot-measure profiles: https://ballotpedia.org
- Congress.gov — official U.S. federal legislative records for members of Congress and bills: https://www.congress.gov
- Official U.S., state, and local government and election-office websites (.gov), including Vote.gov: https://vote.gov

When you ask the AI a question, VoteMate may also search the public web and cites the exact page it used for each answer — for example an official government site, a candidate's own campaign website, an established news organization such as The Associated Press (https://apnews.com), or a nonpartisan civic organization such as Vote.org (https://www.vote.org). The source is shown with every answer.

For official voter registration, ballots, and polling places, always confirm with your state or local election office or Vote.gov (https://vote.gov). VoteMate does not replace your official ballot or your state's voter information.
