Veld: Animal and Wildlife ID

Every trip has those moments - a leopard in the long grass, a hornbill on a branch, a whale shark gliding beneath you. Veld is where those moments live.

Build your personal wildlife collection as you explore the world. Log sightings, snap photos, and let AI identify species you don't recognise. Whether you're on safari in East Africa, birding in Southeast Asia, or exploring your own backyard, Veld turns every encounter into a discovery worth keeping.

Log what you see
Record sightings with photos, location, notes, and species detail. EXIF data is read automatically, so date and location fill in themselves.

AI species identification
Not sure what you're looking at? Upload a photo and let Veld identify it from a database spanning mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and fish across Africa, Asia, the Americas and more.

Build your life list
Every new species earns its place in your personal collection. Rare sightings get their moment. Filter by category, region, or journey, and watch your stats grow with every trip.

Organise by journey
Create a journey for each trip - Kenya safari, Costa Rica rainforest, Borneo river cruise - and see exactly what you found, where, and when. A home journey keeps track of everything closer to home.
