Cab'Connexion

Cab'Connexion is a training application designed to support independent dental surgeons in their daily professional lives. It offers five clinical scenarios, inspired by real-life situations, to develop interpersonal skills, strengthen empathy, and improve practitioners' well-being in the practice.
Designed as a practical and scalable tool, Cab'Connexion is part of an approach to promoting resources already offered by the URPS Chirurgiens-Dentistes Nouvelle-Aquitaine (New Aquitaine Dental Surgeons' Association), illustrating their practical use in the practice in an interactive format.

Application Objectives:
Promote communication with patients, members of the dental team, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Strengthen the soft skills essential for a peaceful practice: listening, stress management, assertiveness, and professional stance.
Prevent burnout by working on levers of workplace well-being and recognition. (Re)discover the wealth of practical tools offered by the URPS CD NA: fact sheets, recommendations, support systems, digital resources.
Experience real-life situations in the practice in a fictitious environment, using digital simulation.

The 5 clinical scenarios offered:
Each scenario addresses a common relational or organizational issue in the dental practice:
The young child in the practice
→ Observation, appropriate communication, prevention, parental involvement, HAS recommendations.
Dental emergencies and organization
→ Request management, assertive communication, reducing feelings of guilt.
Reception and care of victims of violence
→ Reception, listening, guidance, documentation, professional and ethical stance.
Relationships within the practice
→ Practitioner accountability, managing internal tensions, communication with the team and patients. The Non-Communicating Patient
→ Adapting communication in the face of cognitive or mental health disorders, relationships with caregivers, coordination with healthcare professionals, and use of the APECS grid.

A fun and progressive approach:
The application incorporates a variety of game mechanics: multiple-choice questions, item sorting, image quizzes, prioritization, etc.
Each scenario allows for the validation of key skills identified as essential in daily practice. These skills are used throughout the course, and their acquisition is valued throughout the program.

A tool serving the community:
Cab' Connexion is the result of collaborative work between the URPS CD NA, field practitioners, and digital simulation experts. It builds on existing initiatives (serious games, webinars, practical factsheets, immersive workshops, etc.) to offer digital training tailored to the needs and demands of private dental surgeons.
