About TV Mitengo

At TV Mitengo, we believe in the enduring strength of Zambia’s heritage to create a distinctive cultural image that creates hope, learning, and laughter. We also believe that the task of realizing all these promises rests with no one but ourselves. We, therefore, owe it to the current and future generations to immortalize the cultural image of our past, our struggles, our breakthroughs, our greatness, and our future through sustainable production and distribution of our artistic and athletic innovations.TV Mitengo stands apart by guaranteeing an image of Zambia through art and sport content rarely found on any other platform. Our content policy, therefore, focuses on development - the development of new talent; new productions, and new audiences for Zambian arts, sports, and culture. Our policy also inscribes a focus on the unusual, which is realized through a cultural mining adventure beyond the line of rail. Through TV Mitengo, the notion of urban limit in the expression of Zambian art has collapsed. Therefore, our platform will bring to its audiences not just what is urban about Zambia, but whatever is Zambian about Zambia. We will therefore continue to explore content development and production partnerships from the outlying areas of all the ten provinces of our great nation. Through this national focus on talent and content development, TV Mitengo is designed to be a national cultural asset for bringing local and international visibility to our culture.
