Tvento: TV Remote & Cast

Tvento turns your phone into a TV remote and a casting tool over your home Wi-Fi. No infrared blaster, no account and no sign-in needed.

Control your TV
• Remote with the usual keys: direction pad, OK, back, home, volume and mute
• Touchpad: swipe to move, tap to select
• Number pad for channels and codes
• Keyboard: type into search boxes on the TV
• Open the apps installed on your TV from your phone
• Wake a sleeping TV with a Wi-Fi signal, where the TV supports it
• Saved TVs and automatic reconnection when you open the app

Cast your photos and videos
• Browse your gallery by album and send a photo, a slideshow or a whole video to the big screen
• If a TV can't play a video, Tvento can convert it and try again
• Casting keeps running while you use other apps, with a notification that brings you back

Share files to the TV
• Send photos, videos, music, PDFs and text files
• Other documents open in the TV's web browser, where the TV has one
• Tap Share in any app and choose Tvento

Mirror your screen
• Opens Android's own screen casting, so your TV must support screen mirroring

Live TV player: bring your own playlist
• Play M3U playlists that you add yourself, on your phone or on a TV
• Tvento includes no channels and no content, and does not provide, sell or check any playlist or stream. Only add playlists you have the right to watch.

Works with
Samsung and LG smart TVs, Android TV and Google TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV. The buttons and features you get depend on your TV model. For example, Roku sticks have no power or input button, and Fire TV needs a media receiver app installed to receive photos and videos.

Before you start
• Put your phone and TV on the same Wi-Fi network (not a guest network) and turn the TV on.
• Some TVs show a prompt or a code the first time. Tvento walks you through it.
• Photo and video access is used only to cast your own media. It goes from your phone to your TV over your home network.
• Built-in help covers the most common connection problems.
