About DictVault

DictVault is a local-first dictionary and reading app for people who want to keep their dictionaries, books, and saved articles under their own control.

Important before purchase: DictVault is a paid app, but the purchase does not include MDX, StarDict, Kindle, or other dictionary files. You need to prepare your own compatible local dictionary files and import them into the app.

Add your own MDX, StarDict, or Kindle dictionary files, search across configured dictionaries, and identify results by dictionary marker. Save favorite words, review recent lookup history, and keep lookup available without a remote dictionary account.

Books mode lets you add EPUB and AZW3 books from Android's file picker, return to your saved reading position, and tap words in the reader to look them up with your configured dictionaries. AZW3 books are converted for the in-app reader during import.

Articles mode lets you save web URLs and open them in an in-app reader. Shared plain-text links from Android's share sheet can be saved directly to your article list.

More includes a unit converter for length, area, volume, mass, temperature, and speed. Add multiple rows, choose units from each row's dropdown, and edit any value to update the other rows immediately.

DictVault includes built-in Chinese suggestion data for search assistance, but it does not distribute MDX, StarDict, Kindle, or paid third-party dictionary content. Your selected dictionary, book, and article files stay under Android's file access controls.
