About goldbet
goldbet is a reaction based game set across three horizontal lanes. The player controls a figure positioned on the left side of the playing field, while obstacles move steadily from right to left towards the player. Each obstacle consists of three vertical segments, one per lane, and only one segment is open to create a gap. The aim in goldbet is to move into the correct lane at the exact moment the obstacle reaches the player’s position.
Control in goldbet is managed entirely through swipe gestures. Swiping up moves the player into the upper lane, while swiping down moves the player into the lower lane. If no gesture is made, the player remains in the centre lane. A short cooldown applies between lane changes to prevent excessively rapid switching. This makes timing essential, as every movement must be deliberate and well judged.
When no session is active, a single tap on the screen starts a new round. Once the session begins, obstacles are generated at the right edge of the field and travel horizontally towards the left. Their position is updated continuously in real time. The player must align with the open segment precisely as each obstacle passes the player’s location.
In goldbet, one point is awarded whenever an obstacle passes and the open segment matches the lane where the player is positioned. If the lanes do not match, one life is lost. The level is calculated according to the total score achieved. After reaching a defined point threshold, the level increases and is briefly highlighted on screen. The best score and highest level reached are saved locally on the device and automatically updated when surpassed.
The difficulty in goldbet increases progressively. The interval between obstacle generation decreases according to a gradual formula until a minimum limit is reached. At the same time, the movement speed of obstacles increases up to a set maximum. Beyond level based changes, the rhythm of the game also adjusts subtly during an active session, making play more demanding the longer it continues.
Each session in goldbet begins with three lives. Lives are clearly displayed on screen and update immediately following a mistake. When all lives are lost, the session ends at once and a Game Over screen displays the final score and level achieved.
goldbet includes session controls for flexible play. The Pause button temporarily halts the creation of new obstacles and freezes the animation of those already on screen. Resume continues the session from the same state. Restart clears all active obstacles and resets score, lives, level and speed settings to their initial values before starting a new round.
The interface in goldbet provides clear visual feedback without unnecessary distractions. Score and lives briefly pulse when they change, and the level is emphasised with a short animation when it increases. The playing field is divided into three equal height lanes based on the actual screen dimensions. The player is vertically centred within the active lane, and lane transitions are accompanied by a brief animation to maintain clarity while preserving the game’s flow.
Obstacles are structured as vertical columns containing three segments, one of which is empty. They move smoothly from right to left with continuous animation, and their position is recalculated throughout their movement.
Best score and highest level data in goldbet are stored locally on the device using application preferences. These values load when the app launches and update automatically when exceeded in a new session. No registration or internet connection is required.
goldbet is designed for short, focused sessions built around timing and accuracy. Move into the correct lane at the right moment, avoid losing lives, and aim to improve your result with each new attempt.
