Start with Djoser's Step Pyramid, then Sneferu's Red Pyramid, and finally the Great Pyramid of Khufu: about 2.3 million blocks, 210 courses, 146.6 m. The Great Pyramid uses the commonly cited count; the other two are estimates from the Great Pyramid's blocks per volume.
