TodaPay is a comprehensive digital payments and cross-border remittance platform, engineered to meet the unique financial needs of the South Africa (SA) and Zimbabwe (ZW) corridor. Built on a secure, scalable platform similar to PayPal, TodaPay provides a robust solution for users to manage funds, send money, and pay bills instantly.

The platform establishes a secure digital wallet and account system , allowing users to sign up and log in securely via email or phone. To ensure compliance and security, it supports two KYC tiers (Basic and Verified) and utilizes OTP/2FA for critical transactions. All transactions are protected by industry-standard security measures, including encryption and PCI DSS compliance.



Core Features & Remittance

TodaPay's core functionality centers on fast, reliable money movement:

Multi-Currency Wallet: Users can hold funds in multi-currency wallets, supporting both USD and ZAR in the initial phase.

Fund Top-ups: Easily add money to the wallet through various methods, including Stripe, PayPal, and Pesepay. Wallet funding in Zimbabwe is specifically supported via Pesepay for credit cards, bank transfers, and mobile money.

P2P Transfers: Send and receive money instantly between TodaPay users using just a phone number or email ID.

Transaction History: Provides a real-time, searchable feed of all transactions.

Cross-Border Remittances: The platform is optimized for the SA-ZW corridor:

Outward Payouts to SA: Facilitates outward remittances to South African bank accounts via Ozow Integration. These payouts use an auto-managed exchange rate board that pulls live USD→ZAR rates and applies an admin-configured margin/spread.

Local Payouts in ZW: Supports auto payouts to Zimbabwean bank accounts and mobile wallets. Supported mobile wallets include EcoCash, InnBucks, Omari, and OneMoney.



Zimbabwe Payments & Compliance

A key feature for users is the expanded bill payments system via the e-Solutions Gateway. Users can pay a wide range of Zimbabwean merchants and authorities, including:

Utilities: Electricity (ZETDC), Prepaid Water (City of Bulawayo, City of Gweru, City of Harare).

Telecommunications: Airtime (Econet, NetOne, Telecel), TelOne, and ZOL.

Media: DSTV payments.

For regulatory adherence, TodaPay includes:

IMTT Handling: Manages the Intermediated Money Transfer Tax (IMTT), which is applied specifically to domestic Zimbabwe payouts (wallet to ZW bank/mobile wallet).

Central Bank Reporting: Includes BDCTRS Reporting functionality to submit audit records of inward and outward remittances to the Central Bank for compliance.

The platform is managed through an advanced Admin Panel for user management, KYC approvals, setting transaction limits, configuring fees, and managing currencies. Operations are streamlined with Xero Accounting Integration, which automatically posts daily summaries for money movement events to support finance and reconciliation.
