Desert Run: Drag Racing

Desert Run is a side by side drag racing game with a roguelike map: every run has a new map, and losing a single race sends you back to the start. Kai Hayashi inherited his grandfather's car and wants the trophy of the League of the Four Lands.

HOW A RACE WORKS
• Wait for the green light and tap ACCELERATE. Tapping early is a false start.
• Shift when the needle is in the green zone. A perfect shift gives you an extra push.
• 8 gears, 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile races of about 40 seconds.
• Use NITRO on the straight, PULSE to cut the rival's engine and drop him a gear, and OVERREV to go past the rev limit for a few seconds.

A NEW MAP EVERY RUN
You pick your route on the map: races, harder duels, power-up shops, workshops and mystery stops. Power-ups stay with you until the run ends and stack with each other, so every run plays a little differently. Lose a race and it is game over: the run starts again at chapter 1. You get one second chance per run.

FOUR LANDS, FOUR BOSSES
• Fire Desert: Sand Dog overheats your engine if you keep it in the red.
• Ice Desert: Aurora makes your launch slip.
• Green Desert, a forest that swallowed an abandoned city: Viper pulses you twice.
• Concrete Desert, a city in ruins: Rust King has double nitro and extra power at the end.
Each boss changes one rule of the race, and the rivals get faster at every stop on the map.

GARAGE
Race money buys permanent upgrades for the engine, gearbox, nitro and tires, up to level 12. They stay with you after a game over. You can also unlock more cars in the garage.

MADE FOR
Drag racing, timing your gear shifts, car games with progression, roguelikes and short races for the bus or a queue. Races work offline. The game is in English and Portuguese.
