Dupsy: Similar Photos Finder

Similar photos finder that groups burst shots, look-alike photos, resized copies and exact duplicates in your camera roll, keeps the best shot of each group and frees up storage without risking a single memory. The similar photos are found on your phone: blurry and smaller copies are pre-selected, you confirm, and every deleted photo waits 7 days in the app's Trash so you can undo a mistake. It is simple to use: open the app, look over each group in a clean lightbox view and tap Delete.

THREE KINDS OF DUPLICATES
Similar photos and duplicate images are compared by what they show, not by file name or size: an on-device image-matching algorithm calculates a visual fingerprint for every picture.
- Exact: byte-for-byte copies, such as the same photo saved twice or downloaded again.
- Near-identical: the same picture resized, compressed by a chat app, made brighter or darker, or lightly edited.
- Similar: burst shots and look-alike photos taken seconds apart from the same spot, with a different smile or a blink.
Only photos taken close together are grouped as Similar, so two beach photos from different days are never mixed. A Strict, Balanced or Loose setting lets you decide how alike photos must be.

KEEPS THE BEST SHOT
Every group of similar photos gets one Best badge: the sharpest, the best exposed, the highest resolution. For copies, the largest original from your camera wins over the smaller copy from a chat or a download. Each photo shows a short reason, like "Sharpest · 12 MP", "Blurry · 28%" or "Smaller copy", so you can see why it stays or goes. Your favorites are never pre-selected, one photo always stays in every group, and nothing is ever deleted without your tap.

7-DAY TRASH, UNDO ANYTHING
Duplicate photo removal never deletes straight away: the photos move to the app's Trash first, then Android asks you to confirm. Changed your mind? Restore puts a photo back in its original album with its original date. Photos are removed for good after 7 days, or earlier when you choose Delete now. The Trash lives inside the app on your phone, so it is removed if you uninstall Dupsy.

FAST RESCANS
The first scan for duplicate and similar photos shows its progress, and you can browse the first groups while it is still running. Every photo checked is remembered, so the next time you open it only new photos are compared and a rescan takes seconds, even in a large library. Scanning runs in small batches, so the app stays smooth while it works.

OFFLINE, NOTHING UPLOADED
Photo deduplication runs entirely offline: your photos never leave your phone, and the Best pick is made on the device, with no account and no server. It also works in airplane mode.
