About Q Messenger

Q messenger is a straightforward SMS and MMS app for Android, built on a simple idea: your text messages are nobody's business but yours.
PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE, NOT BY PROMISE

Q messenger does not request Android's internet permission. That isn't a setting you have to trust us to honor — it's a property of the app that Android itself enforces. With no network access, the app cannot send your messages, your contacts, or anything about how you use it to us or to anyone else. There is no account to create, no server to sign in to, no analytics, and no advertising.

Your conversations stay where Android already keeps them: in the system messaging storage on your device. Q messenger adds only local bookkeeping of its own, such as which conversations you pinned and which messages you scheduled. Cloud backup is switched off for the app's private data.

EVERYDAY MESSAGING, DONE PROPERLY
• SMS and MMS, including group conversations and media
• Search across your conversations
• Pin, archive, mute, block, and delete conversations
• Dual-SIM support, with the option to remember the last SIM used per conversation
• Schedule messages to send later
• Delivery reports, MMS auto-download, and a separate control for roaming
• A shared-media view for each conversation
• Reply or mark as read straight from the notification
• Hide message text on the lock screen
• Light and dark themes, plus Android dynamic color from your wallpaper (Android 12+)
• A diagnostics screen showing permission, notification, alarm, and SIM status when something looks off

SETTING IT UP
Q messenger needs to be your default SMS app in order to send and receive messages — Android only delivers texts to the app holding that role. It will ask you once on first launch, and you can switch back to another app at any time in Android settings.

ABOUT THE PERMISSIONS
• SMS and MMS: required to send, receive, and display your messages
• Contacts (optional): to show names and photos instead of bare numbers
• Microphone (optional): only while you record a voice clip to send
• Location (optional): only when you choose to share your location in a message
• Notifications and alarms: to alert you to new messages, and to send scheduled messages on time

Optional permissions are requested only when you first use the feature that needs them. Declining one leaves the rest of the app working normally.

Q messenger is made by TelQ Telecom GmbH and requires Android 8.0 or later.
