About K1 Flasher
K1 Flasher is an industrial programming system created for Telepass SpA with the aim of satisfying the need to massively install the latest software (SW) and firmware (FW) versions on the On Board Unit (, OBU) devices. , of Telepass SpA called K1.
The programming of an OBU, also called flashing, is a sequential execution of operations that allow the saving, in the non-volatile memory, of the application software necessary for the OBU itself to function correctly.
The programming of a K1 OBU can be done in 2 different ways: on the bench using the K1FM32 module, or by sending an OTA (On the Air) update from the Proxy GUI.
The K1Flasher system is used to program a K1 OBU before it is distributed to the end user.
The main objectives of the K1 Flasher programming system are:
Simplify and automate the software and firmware transfer process to the K1 device, facilitating repetitive operations and controlling the process in a rigorous and centralized way;
Save the unique association "K1 device - SW and FW version installed" in a centralized database, as well as further information for easy management of the device fleet (eg: recall of a batch, test of new versions, etc.);
Create a scalable architecture of K1FM32 devices, that is a network of modules physically located in different laboratories and usable without particular technical-computer knowledge; the entire infrastructure is called the K1 Flasher System.
Through the application, it is possible to access real-time monitoring of the flashing activities independently of the K1FM32 module that generates them, as well as enabling a view on the historical data of the flashing activities.
The view shows a subset of the messages generated by the K1FM32 modules present in the Flasher K1 system, i.e. the last 100 logs with respect to the creation date in descending order, regardless of the K1FM32 module that generated them.
The page updates automatically every 10 seconds. To stop the update, move the green "Real time" slider to the left, the slider changes to "History" mode.
By selecting the "funnel" icon, it is possible to view a series of ad hoc filters.
