About TachoAssist Driver Card Reader
TachoAssist is a driver card reader on your phone: read your tachograph driver card with a USB card reader, or download it from a smart tachograph over Bluetooth (beta).
Within a minute you see what an inspector would see: every infringement under the EU and UK rules, your driving time, daily and weekly rest, breaks and working time, and for many countries the fine an infringement can carry.
The infringement report and the attestation of activities as PDF, your .ddd file to share, and a 14-day free trial of everything.
• Read the card on your phone. Plug in any USB smart-card reader (CCID), insert the driver card, and the app reads it the way a download tool does. Files are kept on the phone until they are uploaded, so a missing connection never loses a read.
• Bluetooth download from a smart tachograph (beta). On a smart tachograph (version 2) with Bluetooth, tap "Download from a tachograph over Bluetooth (beta)" to download the driver card in the tachograph — no cable and no card reader. The file is uploaded to your TachoAssist workspace, as a card read is. This feature is new and does not yet work with every tachograph. The first time you open it, you choose: "Send reports and continue" or "Continue without sending". A report is technical only — the phone and tachograph models and the steps of the connection — never data from the card or the tachograph file, and it is not linked to your account. You can change this at any time in Settings.
• Your infringements, in plain words. Each infringement with the rule, the day and the minutes, how serious it is, and your risk score on the EU formula.
• Driving time and rest. Daily and weekly rests, breaks, the two-week driving limit, compensation for reduced weekly rests, night work and the working-time rules.
• The planner. How long you can still drive today and this week, and when the next rest is due.
• Working time and pay. Your hours by day and by month, ready to check against your payslip.
• Reports in your language. The infringement report and the attestation of activities, as PDF.
• Your files. Every read stays in your workspace; share a .ddd file when the company asks for it.
• Day by day. Activities with the countries and ferry crossings, the places recorded on the card, kilometres per month, and the date your next download is due.
Requires a TachoAssist account. A new account starts with a 14-day free trial of everything; after it, a subscription bought in the app keeps card reading and analysis running, and viewing what is already in your workspace stays free. Company drivers: if your company uses TachoAssist, sign in with the account your company gave you and see your own data.
Available in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Romanian.
Privacy: your card file goes only to your own TachoAssist workspace, over an encrypted connection. No ads, no analytics. Privacy policy: https://tachoassist.com/privacy.html
