WORKS OFFLINE
All schedule data ships with the app. Underground with no signal? The app still works. Timetables, station info, and departure calculations happen entirely on your device.
LIVE TRAIN POSITIONS
See metro, tram, and suburban trains moving in real time on the map. Trains accelerate out of stations, pause at stops, and follow the actual route. Suburban railway positions come from the Hellenic Train live feed.
TRACK A DEPARTURE
Pick a train and Syrmos keeps a live countdown pinned to your notifications. On Android you get an ongoing notification with a self-ticking chronometer, on iOS a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Glance at your phone and see the minutes drop, no unlocking, no searching. The countdown runs on your device, so it keeps ticking through tunnels and dead zones.
MEET ARIADNE
Ariadne is an offline AI helper built into Syrmos. Ask in your own words, in Greek, English, or Albanian: "next train to the airport", "last M2 tonight", "how do I get from Syntagma to Piraeus". Ariadne reads the schedule already on your phone, so answers come back in a second and nothing is sent to a server. Named after the Woman who led Theseus out of the Labyrinth.
TRANSIT COVERAGE
Metro: Line 1 (Green, Piraeus to Kifissia), Line 2 (Red, Anthoupoli to Elliniko), Line 3 (Blue, Dimotiko Theatro to Airport)
Tram: T6 (Syntagma to Pikrodafni), T7 (Akti Poseidonos to Asklipiio Voulas)
Suburban: A1 (Piraeus to Airport), A2 (Ano Liosia to Airport), A3 (Athens to Chalcis), A4 (Piraeus to Kiato)
BUILT FOR COMMUTERS
Syrmos was built by a daily Athens rail commuter. The name comes from the Greek word "syrmos", meaning the carriages that form a train.
