About Carbonics

You register your company (Chamber of Commerce number) and indicate for how many people you want to report. You will then receive a link by email with which you can upload an Excel file with all the mobile telephone numbers of your employees (without names), so completely anonymous.

All mobile numbers will then receive a WhatsApp message with a download link for the Carbonics App. All users receive a unique number linked to a Chamber of Commerce number. After downloading, Carbonics asks the employee for permission to register his/her phone movements. After approval, registration starts.

The Carbonics App then records all movements of the mobile phone with a distance greater than 50 meters. In the Carbonics App, the employee can see each day what distances he/she has traveled (of more than 50 meters) and what answers he/she has entered. If questions are not answered, the employee will receive a message that there are still questions unanswered.

After the data has been confirmed in the Carbonics App, the Trip reporting is processed by Carbonics. All other data will be automatically deleted permanently. The user of the Carbonics Dashboard can prepare a consolidated monthly report every month, which is similar to the government's work-related personal mobility reporting model.

If an employee has not provided answers to all her/his distances, the employee will receive a notification that he/she must still do so. The employer has an overview of open Trips in the Carbonisc Dashboard that have not been provided with an answer. This allows the employer to take timely action.

Your company must report its consumption for the second half of 2024 no later than June 30, 2025. Carbonics will provide you with the 2024 Annual Report in digital form in January 2025, containing the following information:

The total number of kilometers traveled by your employees in a calendar year for business and commuting. (July 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024)

Annual total kilometers divided by mode of transport and fuel type.

You can easily enter this information via www.rvo.nl/onderwerpen/verslag-wpm. You will then receive a report from the central government with your CO2 emissions and practical information to make your organization's work-related personal mobility (further) sustainable.
