Pitchly: Tuner & Metronome

Pitchly is a precise tuner and a rock-solid metronome in one small app. Tune any instrument with the chromatic tuner, pick a preset for guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, mandolin or banjo, then practise in time with a metronome that never drifts. Everything runs on your phone, with no account and no internet connection.

TUNER
• Chromatic detection with a clear needle gauge, cents readout and frequency in Hz
• Green "in tune" indicator within ±5 cents, with a gentle haptic tick
• Instrument mode shows the strings, auto-selects the nearest one and highlights it when in tune
• Guitar (standard, Drop D, DADGAD, Open G, half-step down), bass (4 and 5 string), ukulele (standard, baritone), violin, viola, cello, mandolin, banjo
• Build your own custom tunings with any number of strings
• Reference pitch from 415 to 466 Hz, sharps or flats, transposition for B♭, E♭ and F instruments

METRONOME
• 20 to 300 BPM with a big dial, fine buttons and tap tempo
• Time signatures from 1/4 to 7/8 plus 6/8 and 12/8, accent on the first beat
• Quarter, eighth, triplet and sixteenth subdivisions
• Click, woodblock or beep sounds, a swinging pendulum and beat dots
• Keeps the screen awake while it runs
• Trainer: speed up by a few BPM every few bars, or mute random bars to test your inner clock

REFERENCE TONES
• Play any note in any octave as a pure sine or a piano-like tone to tune by ear

TUNING HISTORY
• A chart of your last 50 stable readings shows how your tuning drifts over a session
