PDF Highlighter

Turn your PDF reading into a collection of passages worth returning to. PDF Highlighter helps you mark important text, keep comments with your highlights and review your reading before a class, meeting or next draft.

Open a course handout, article or report and select the words you want to remember. Highlight selected text, choose a color or use the translucent free marker to draw attention to an area. Adjust the marker width and opacity to suit the page. Remove editable marks with the eraser and undo an annotation when you change your mind. The eraser removes whole marks without changing the original page content.

Bring your reading together in Highlights & notes. Search your quotations and comments, filter by color or annotation type, and return to the matching page. Add or edit a comment on an editable annotation to keep your own explanation beside the passage. Text search helps you find a phrase in the PDF, with the option to highlight individual results or all matches after confirmation.

Keep your documents organized with folders, favorites and library search. Resume from your saved page, bookmark useful pages and navigate with page thumbnails or the document outline when available. Zoom controls, reading tones and viewing options help you work with fixed-layout pages on different screen sizes.

When it is time to share your work, export a separate PDF copy with editable annotations for compatible readers, or flatten your marks into the page. Create a review-summary PDF, TXT or CSV to revisit your highlights and comments. Save through the system file picker, share a generated file or send a PDF to the system print dialog. Library backup and restore let you move your source documents and project annotations together.

Text selection, search and extracted quotations require a PDF text layer. Scanned pages can be marked manually; OCR is not included. Protected documents require the correct password and permission for the requested action. Editing a copy of a digitally signed PDF may affect its signature validity. The app does not edit the original document text, fill forms or create digital signatures.
