Welcome to the world of learning German!

This innovative picture dictionary app teaches the German alphabet, words, and expressions in a playful and interactive way. It was primarily designed for children, but it’s also perfect for adult beginners. Getting started with German becomes simple and enjoyable.

Let’s take a look at how it works!
I’m Csaba, a father of two young children from Europe. I wanted my kids to learn a foreign language in a fun, playful way. But I couldn’t find a picture dictionary that met both their needs and mine. So my wife and I—drawing on our experience in software development and education—decided to create our own app.

I’ve organized over 1,000 German words into more than 30 categories—perfect for toddlers and school-aged children.

From simple baby-level categories to more advanced content, this dictionary is suitable from age 2 up to teenagers.

The method is based on visual learning! Magical illustrations with cheerful, playful faces make learning fun—and help children remember German words more easily.
👉 Audio
Every word and expression includes native speaker pronunciation—keeping children engaged while supporting correct pronunciation from the very beginning.
👉 Playful German learning
The app includes a learning module (PixiSchool) and 5 interactive games that make learning German enjoyable:
PixiMemory, PixiQuiz, PixiPair, PixiSay, and PixiWords.

👉 Context-based learning
Each expression is supported with a short explanation and an audio translation—making understanding easy and natural.

👉 PixiSpelling
A German alphabet game where children spell the word that matches the displayed image. Once completed, the word is read aloud with native pronunciation, reinforcing both spelling and vocabulary recognition.

👉 PixiMemory
A classic memory game where players match pairs of cards. Each correct pair plays the German word—improving vocabulary, memory, and concentration.

👉 PixiQuiz
Children choose the image that matches the displayed word from four options. Mistakes can be repeated as many times as needed—ideal for word recognition and visual learning.

👉 PixiPair
Match colorful cards with their black-and-white pairs. The correct match triggers the German pronunciation—supporting attention, fine motor skills, and vocabulary.

👉 PixiSay
Children say the shown object out loud. If they’re unsure, they can flip the card and listen to the correct German pronunciation.

👉 PixiWords
Choose the expression that matches the image—helping develop listening and reading comprehension in German.
