Student Job Search

For more than 40 years, Student Job Search (SJS) has been on a mission to reduce student hardship by connecting students with job opportunities.

The SJS app lets you browse and apply for jobs anywhere, anytime, whether that’s while waiting for the bus, in line for coffee, or avoiding social interaction.

The jobs we connect you with will put money in your pocket and improve your quality of life - whether that means reducing debt, getting off the 2-minute noodle diet, being able to afford a gym membership or simply paying for accommodation, we've got your back.

FIND WORK THAT SUITS YOU AND YOUR STUDIES

Our Smart Job Filters help you narrow down your job search to those that suit your lifestyle and timetable. These settings can be saved to make sure every time you use the app you can get straight to browsing.

ABOUT STUDENT JOB SEARCH

Student Job Search is Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading employment service for tertiary students. Since 1982, we’ve been a vital part of the student employment ecosystem, minimising student hardship, equipping young people with lifelong employment skills, and fostering fulfilling partnerships that ultimately grow Aotearoa and the world.

As a purpose-built student employment service, we support students with real job opportunities that provide income, experience, and connection. Rather than compete with the entire workforce, at Student Job Search you have the comfort of knowing employers are looking specifically for students.

We cater to all tertiary students, not just university, as well as helping graduates up to two years after study and high school students in the lead-up to starting tertiary study. Each year, thousands of students use SJS to find flexible, meaningful work that fits around study, while employers gain access to a skilled and diverse pool of workers.
