VPN OkayFreedom: Secure Proxy

A free VPN with up to 30 GB of data a month, paid for with a moment of your attention instead of money: watch a short video ad and 250 MB of VPN data is yours. A secure VPN proxy that hides your IP address and encrypts your connection on public Wi-Fi. No registration, no account, no subscription.

Four ads a day make 1 GB. Connect, browse privately, and when the data runs out, watch another one. No ads while you are connected. Data you don't use stays yours.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Tap "Watch ad" and watch a short rewarded video.
2. 250 MB of VPN data is added to your balance.
3. Connect and browse. The balance counts down while the VPN is on.
4. Up to 4 videos a day, up to 30 GB a month. Unused data carries over to the next day, and the day after that.

At 0 MB the VPN switches off and waits until you have earned new data. The app always shows how much you have left and warns you before it runs out.

WHY VPN OKAYFREEDOM

• Up to 30 GB a month, free. Many free VPNs stop at a few hundred megabytes or a couple of gigabytes a month. Here, four short ads a day add up to 30 GB.
• No ads while you are connected. Ads appear only when you tap "Watch ad", and never inside the VPN connection. Nothing interrupts you every few minutes, nothing plays when you connect or disconnect.
• Your data carries over. Nothing resets at midnight. What you earned on Monday is still there on Friday.
• Data, not minutes. 250 MB is 250 MB, on fast Wi-Fi and on slow mobile data alike. A watched video always counts, even if you connect much later.
• No account, no registration. No email address, no password, nothing to sign up for. Install and connect.
• No subscription and no hidden costs. The advertising pays for the servers.
• Secure VPN encryption. IKEv2/IPsec with AES-256, the VPN built into Android, with no extra battery-draining service.
• Hide your IP address and browse anonymously. Websites and services see the address of the VPN server, not yours.
• Safer on public Wi-Fi hotspots. In cafés, hotels and airports, your traffic is encrypted on its way out of the device.
• Choose your VPN location. Pick one of the available countries and see the web the way it looks from there.
• Protects every app, not only the browser. Apps and downloads are routed through the VPN tunnel too.

PRIVACY

We keep no activity logs. Which sites and services you use, and what your traffic contains, is not recorded. To operate the service we keep per-connection records (time, duration, data volume, the server used) to count your data volume, enforce the limits and find faults. They are deleted after 90 days at the latest.

Because there is no account, there is nothing that links a connection to a person: your installation gets a random ID, and that is the whole identity. Your data balance lives on your device.

The app is ad-financed and collects pseudonymous usage statistics so we can see whether the service works. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time under "Privacy options" in the menu.
