About Squeno: Language Learning

At Squeno, we believe that reading and listening to exciting content is the best way to learn languages, and also the most fun. Squeno is aimed at people who want to dive into a new language, but sometimes (or always) still have trouble understanding. Translating the whole text doesn't always teach you very much, so Squeno uses other ways to help you understand while still maximising your exposure to the language.

AI simplify: This feature rewords sentences in your target language to make it more appropriate for your level. You can read any web page as if it's written for a learner, and adjust the level to your preference. If you use this feature on a web page that isn't in your target language already, it will automatically translate it to your target language for you.

Word translation: Tap any word in the simplified sentences to see its translation. This feature uses the surrounding context to help the AI provide an accurate translation. You can tap again to toggle back to the original.

Text-to-speech: Reading is only one side of the equation, so with this feature you can listen as well.

Search translation: When you search using the URL bar in your native language, Squeno will automatically translate the search term to your target language, so you see results in that language.

Homepage: When you first open Squeno, you'll start out on the Squeno Homepage. This provides a directory of links to interesting content in the language you're learning to help you get started.
