Plant Details
Sharply toothed edges on the strongly upright foliage of Sedum T-Rex add to its ‘monstrous’ appeal. Clusters of cream buds open to enormous rose pink flower clusters – very appealing; not at all scary!
An upright Sedum variety. Great for a hot, sunny site. Stonecrop provides beautiful low care summer and fall color. Let dried flower heads remain to provide nice winter interest. Sedum store water in their thick, succulent leaves which enables them to be extremely drought tolerant.
Sedum General Information
Sedum are grown for their distinctive fleshy foliage. They are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes - upright and groundcovers. A reliable, hardy and easy-to-grow perennial. Star-shaped flowers are usually in clusters or sprays that often change color throughout their bloom time.
Sedum Plant Care
Sedum prefer full sun and average to poor well-drained soil. Can be divided in spring. No need to deadhead during the growing season. Cut back in early spring, as new growth will come from the ground, first appearing as little nuggets pushing up through the soil. Pinch back once during early summer if height control is desired.
