Derekh: Bible Study Companion

Derekh (Hebrew for "the way") is a thoughtful companion for reading and studying the Bible. Ask to see any passage or topic, and explore it in conversation: the historical and literary context, how a verse connects to the rest of Scripture, what a Greek or Hebrew word carries beneath the English, and the questions all this can raise.

It is built for unhurried study, not quick answers. It works alongside you, helping you notice what is calling to you personally and go deeper.

What you can do
- Ask anything about a passage, a theme, a person, or a place, and follow the thread wherever your curiosity leads.
- See the context that frames a text: who wrote it, to whom, when, and why it sits where it does.
- Tap an italicized Greek or Hebrew word to open a concise note on its meaning from scholarly sources.
- Read in the translation you prefer (World English Bible and King James Version included).
- Follow cross-references, linked for quick viewing.
- Keep your study in one place, with conversation history you can search and revisit.
- Read comfortably: reading-optimized typography, adjustable text size, and light, dark, midnight, and warm themes.
- Ask for a curated passage when you are not sure where to begin.

A companion, not an authority
Derekh's responses are generated by AI, drawing on established scholarship and standard lexical sources, to help you explore Scripture in context and understand the key concepts in the original languages. It holds no denominational position and does not speak for any tradition. It is a study aid and sounding board, to weigh with your own discernment and the counsel of trusted teachers.

Your study is private
Your conversations are never used to train AI models. We do not sell or share your personal information. You can delete any conversation, or your whole account, at any time.
