About Piano Cadence

You hear a song and want to play it. Piano Cadence turns that wish into practice — falling notes guide your hands while you follow along on a MIDI keyboard or the on-screen piano.

Notes fall from the top of the screen toward the piano keys at the bottom. When a note reaches the line, you press the matching key. Repeat at your own tempo until the song becomes muscle memory.

PRACTICE MODE — your learning tool. Slow the tempo to 25%. Loop a tricky bar until it's clean. Hear the piece play itself for reference, then turn on wait-for-input and the playhead freezes on every note until you press the right key — so the song waits for you, not the other way around. Choose one hand at a time, or both.

PLAY MODE — the gamified run. The song plays through at full tempo with no pauses. Hit notes early or late by milliseconds and earn Perfect, Great, Good, OK, or Miss verdicts. Streaks build a score multiplier. Finish the song to earn up to five stars and add your run to your local highscores.

Got a MIDI file you want to learn? Import it from your device, and Piano Cadence parses it, detects which hand plays what, and adds it to your library. Any MIDI piece is fair game — classical, pop arrangements, homework pieces from your teacher, your own compositions.
