Silence is a breathing app built around one idea: measure, don't just guide.

Most breathing apps show you an animation and ask you to follow it. Silence listens to your own breath, measures it, and shows you how it changes over time — your pace, your rhythm, your progress. Nothing more.

MEASURE YOUR BREATH
Record two minutes of natural breathing and Silence analyzes it on your device: breathing rate, inhale-to-exhale ratio, and regularity. From this, your Breath Score is calculated — a single number from 0 to 100 that you can track session after session.

YOUR OWN RHYTHM
Instead of forcing a fixed pattern on you, Silence learns your natural pace and gently guides it toward a slower, calmer rhythm over time — a small step with each session, never a sudden change.

CHOOSE BY PURPOSE, NOT TECHNIQUE
Pick what you need — Calm, Sleep, Focus, Balance, or Energy — and Silence selects the right rhythm. If you already know techniques like Box Breathing, 4-7-8, or Buteyko, they're all here too.

SOUNDS THAT FOLLOW YOUR BREATH
Rain, sea, and wind rise and fall with your own breathing, layered together if you like. Nine frequency tones are also available, each with its own generated visual.

BREATH-HOLD TEST
A simple self-measurement based on Buteyko practice: exhale normally, hold, and release at the first real urge to breathe. Track how this changes over weeks.

SCREENLESS MODE
Put your phone face down or in your pocket. The screen goes fully dark and the rhythm comes through vibration alone.

ADAPTS TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS
Screen brightness quietly adjusts to the light around you during a session.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. No tracking. No internet connection required. Your measurements, session history, and settings stay on your device — nothing is ever sent anywhere. If you use the optional breath recording feature, the audio is analyzed instantly and discarded; it is never stored or transmitted.

Silence is completely free. If you'd like to support its development, there's an optional way to do that — never required, never a paywall.
