Selle SMP

Selle SMP is the only bike app that allows you to find the saddle that fits your body. We want to help you feel good in the saddle and increase your performance, whatever your discipline or type of bike (mtb, running, triathlon, e bike...).

How does this bike app work?
Based on the information you give us, the software will propose the Selle SMP model that best suits your body. For this we will ask you for a few but fundamental data: your gender, your age group, the type of bicycle (electric or muscular), the type of cycling, the frequency with which you cycle and your padding preferences. Depending on the type of cycling you choose, it will also ask you the type of seat, or the size of your trousers and the size of your hip bones.

How to choose professional bike saddles
The size of the ischial bones of the pelvis is very important for those looking for a professional saddle (Selle SMP Professional). This data is used to find the most suitable bike saddle model. Knowing the size of the pelvic bones is easy and can be measured in two ways:

1) measuring at home: you will need malleable cardboard, a pencil, a ruler and a table.
2) measurement in Selle SMP dealer shops: we will use S-Tool, a tool to sit on (a stool or a tablet).

In both cases you will be able to obtain the measurement of your sit bones in a few seconds.

The SMP saddles are all ergonomic. The design of each saddle is studied down to the millimeter to satisfy the cyclist's primary need: feeling good on the bike. The special shape of our saddles is patented. The Selle SMP are characterized by the special support area, the eagle's beak tip, the raised rear part and the open central channel.

Our saddles were the protagonists of a scientific study. We have confirmed that the special shape of our saddles allows for better blood circulation and therefore eliminates the pain and discomfort of those who cycle.

The SMP saddles are created in Italy with materials of Italian origin.

We are located in Padua (Italy) and have been producing saddles since 1947.
