ShieldDNS

ShieldDNS is a lightweight DNS-based ad blocking and privacy protection app.

It uses Android’s VPN API locally on your device to filter DNS requests and block ads and trackers at the network level. No traffic is routed through our servers, and no browsing activity is logged.

How it works:
• Intercepts DNS queries locally on your device
• Blocks known ad and tracking domains
• Forwards allowed queries to trusted DNS providers
• All non-DNS traffic passes through normally

Key features:
• DNS-based ad and tracker blocking
• Works across apps and browsers
• No account or login required
• No ads inside the app
• No browsing history stored
• Low battery and data usage

Privacy first:
ShieldDNS operates entirely on your device. DNS queries are processed in memory and are not stored or shared. You stay in control at all times.

Important note:
ShieldDNS uses Android’s VPN permission only to enable local DNS filtering. It does not provide a remote VPN tunnel and does not inspect or modify web traffic content.

Compatible with modern Android devices and designed for simplicity and transparency.
